Landscape studies (2)

Another set of landscape studies.

After painting these series I begin to feel the limits of ArtRage and so decided it's about time I got serious about Painter. I have been trying it for a while now, but so far I've always been put off by its wealth of tools and many parameters, returning each time to Photoshop that I know so much better. But Painter offers a feeling of authenticity in the use of color and brushes which I think adds a lot to digital painting. Therefore, I will learn how to use it for good.

  1. LordBob, those are great as generic story images already, even if you claim they are just "story image candidates". I wanted to use them in ANO campaign, as I have written in the previous entry - even though after checking almost none actually fits the story.

Actually, I would use the image with the desert - and I wondered whether you could modify anyone of them (desert-04 would be the best) to make more trails, as if this was hgue group of people wandering through the desert, maybe with distant black silquettes of bodies of those, who weren't able to make it?

  2. Of course. I'll do that and post the modified picture in the forums. As for other images, do not hesitate to PM me if you think a given setting might serve your purpose but would like to see specific changes.
